‌Porsche Unveils 911's New Model Teaser — Likely the 911 GT3 Cabriolet, Set to Launch on April 14

Porsche has released an official teaser for a new 911 model, with the full reveal scheduled for ‌April 14, 2026‌. While the automaker hasn't confirmed the exact variant, strong indications suggest this could be the highly anticipated ‌992.2-generation 911 GT3 Cabriolet‌.

The teaser image shows the car covered in a black cloth, but the silhouette clearly reveals a ‌convertible body style‌, consistent with Porsche’s classic low-slung 911 profile. The design includes ‌distinctive engine hood vents‌ similar to current GT3 models and a clean rear end without a fixed wing, hinting at a high-performance open-top configuration.

Porsche describes the upcoming model as delivering “‌pure driving pleasure‌” and calls it a “‌particularly interesting sports car‌,” with the unveiling event filmed in a fun, dynamic style on Tenerife, Spain — a location choice widely seen as symbolic of open-air motoring.

In terms of performance, the new model is expected to share its powertrain with the current 911 GT3: a ‌4.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-six engine‌ producing ‌375 kW (510 hp)‌ and ‌450 Nm of torque‌. Transmission options may include both a ‌7-speed PDK dual-clutch‌ and a ‌6-speed manual‌, catering to both performance and driving purists.

The global premiere will be livestreamed on ‌Porsche’s official YouTube channel‌ at ‌10:00 AM Eastern Time (4:00 PM CEST) on April 14‌.
